Award-winning film and television heartthrob Alden Richards brings you the best of your choice and your music as he spends time with TV viewers on MYX as this month’s celebrity VJ.
Alden will be hosting “MY MYX” from the 23rd to the 29th of June, granting the video requests of fans and viewers on the ultimate “Your Choice. Your Music.” show.
Philippines’ Pop Rock Princess Yeng Constantino recently received back-to-back achievements. She bagged the Favorite Female Artist trophy from MYX Music Awards 2013 and as her latest album under Star Records, “Metamorphosis,” was named as one of the Philippines’ overall (foreign and local) best-selling albums based on the nationwide sales reports of Astroplus/Astrovision from March 11 to 17.
“I’m so happy with all the blessings that I’ve been getting. I’m really overwhlemed,” said the award-winning singer. “I thank God for it and dedicated everything to Him. Long live OPM!”
Under the production of Pinoy rock icon Raimund Marasigan, “Metamorphosis” is a 10-track all-original album that features Yeng’s compositions including “Hahanapin Kita,” “Josephine,” “Messiah,” “Pasensya Na,” “Sana ‘Di Pa Huli,” “Teleserye,” “Pag-ibig,” “Sandata,” and the carrier single “B.A.B.A.Y.” Meanwhile, the song “Chinito,” composed by Yeng’s friend Jed Dumawal, is set to be the album’s second single.
“Metamorphosis” is still available on all record bars nationwide at only P299. The digital tracks of the album can now be downloaded via www.mymusicstore.com.ph and iTunes.

Itchyworms has a new music video for their latest single After All This Time. Jugs Jugueta is just back-up vocals, though. Drummer Jazz Nicolas is the one singing.
Curtis Finch, Jr. was the first to be eliminated from the Top 10 of the 12th season of the hit reality singing show, American Idol. He sang Fantasia’s I Believe during the performance show, which the American audience seemed not to like so much that he got the lowest votes.
The song “Ano’ng Nangyari Sa Ating Dalawa” written by Jovinor Tan of Malabon City and interpreted by Aiza Seguerra won first place in the country’s largest multimedia songwriting competition, “Himig Handog” with the theme, “Pinoy Pop (P-POP) Love Songs: Mga Awit at Kwento ng Pusong Pilipino” from ABS-CBN and Star Records.
The concert held last night at the SM MOA Arena featured the performances of the country’s finest OPM artists who served as interpreters for the 12 finalists. The original compositions that received the top awards were the following: “Hanggang Wakas” performed by Juris Fernandez and written by Soc Villanueva placed second; “If You Ever Change Your Mind” performed and written by Marion Aunor placed third; “Scared to Death” sung by KZ Tandingan and written by Domingo Rosco Jr. placed fourth; and “Kahit Na” performed by Toni Gonzaga and written by Julius James de Belen placed fifth.
